The study focused on investigating the effect of geological parent material on morphological
properties of the weed species Thymus pulegioides L. subsp. effusus Host and
Plantago media L. The investigation was carried out at two sites on Mount Manjača. The
first one, Kadina Voda, has a limestone rock for parent material, while the other, Strièiæi, has
a dolomite rock.
Morphology of the species studied is characterized by adaptibility to unfavourable conditions
that exist in dolomite rocks, which is evident from their stunted growth, smaller leaves
and prominent xeromorphic character. U radu je proučavano u kojoj meri geološka podloga utiče na morfološke osobine korovskih
biljaka Thymus pulegioides L. subsp. effusus Host i Plantago media L. Ispitivanja su
obavljena na dva lokaliteta na planini Manjača. Prvi lokalitet, Kadina Voda ima krečnjačku
podlogu, a drugi lokalitet Stričići dolomitnu podlogu.
Morfološka građa proučenih vrsta odlikuje se adaptivnim osobinama na nepovoljne
uslove dolomitne podloge, što se manifestuje u manjem porastu, sitnijim listovima, odnosno
izraženoj kseromorfnosti.
